Challenges & Solutions

Problem: Managing content in both English and Hindi with seamless switching, while maintaining consistency across all pages and ensuring proper text rendering.

Solution

Implemented i18n (internationalization) with Next.js, created separate content files for each language, used Unicode fonts for proper Hindi rendering, and built an easy language toggle system.

Problem: Many beneficiaries access the platform from rural areas with older smartphones and slower internet connections, requiring optimization for low-bandwidth scenarios.

Solution

Implemented progressive image loading, optimized assets, created lightweight mobile views, used Next.js image optimization, and ensured functionality even on 2G/3G networks.

Problem: Handling personal information of beneficiaries, volunteers, and donors required strict security without compromising user experience or application processing speed.

Solution

Implemented end-to-end encryption, secure authentication with JWT, role-based access control, HTTPS enforcement, regular security audits, and GDPR-compliant data handling.

Problem: Creating an intuitive onboarding process for users with varying technical literacy, from urban educated volunteers to rural beneficiaries with limited digital experience.

Solution

Designed simplified forms with clear instructions in both languages, added tooltips and help text, implemented step-by-step guidance, and created video tutorials for common processes.
